Tom began his career at Cazenove Capital Management before joining Aberdeen Asset Management, where he completed a two‑year graduate programme and later worked as an investment consultant for institutional clients. He is Chairman of the Family Holdings Group and of the financial advisory firm Featherstone Partners.
Tom holds a BA (Hons) degree in Accounting and Finance from Newcastle University and the CertIM (IMC) qualification.
Outside of work, Tom finds respite in the great outdoors — whether enjoying the calm of casting a fly across a river or climbing hills, a highlight being the summit of Mount Kenya. He also enjoys horse racing and golf when family life allows, and is a lifelong supporter of Nottingham Forest.
